The engine has two separate cooling
circuits.
1 - The open seawater circuit runs via the
gearbox
radiator,
the
main
heat
exchanger and the exhaust manifold.
2 - The coolant circuit runs as a closed
pressurised system through the engine
block, oil cooler, exhaust collector and,
after reaching the operating tempera-
ture, via the main heat exchanger.
