– Check that the tensioning lever is locked in place correctly — the red
marking -arrow A- must not be visible on the locking mechanism.
WARNING
The locking wedge on the tensioning lever -arrow B- must be securely
engaged in the end position — risk of accident!
– Lock the tensioning lever -1- and remove the key -14-.
Note
The tensioning lever can only be locked when it is secured correctly.
WARNING
The clamping mechanism must be retightened to a tightening torque
of 63 Nm if you discover that the bicycle carrier for trailer towing
coupling is stiff, if it rotates on the trailer towing coupling, if the
operating force (and therefore the clamping force) of the tensioning
lever is decreasing or if the ball coupling is worn. Contact your
specialist retailer.
– Check that the bicycle carrier for trailer towing coupling is correctly
positioned and make sure that it is securely attached by shaking it; if
necessary, detach the bicycle carrier for trailer towing coupling from the
trailer towing coupling and secure it in place again.

– Remove the connector for the lighting equipment from the holder
-arrow A-, insert the connector into the socket on the vehicle and lock the
connector into position by turning it in a clockwise direction.
Caution
Make sure that the following points are complied with:
•
The cable for the lighting equipment must not hang or drag on the road.
•
The cable for the lighting equipment must not hang in front of the
exhaust pipe.

– Loosen the hand wheels for the carrier frame -3- -arrows B-.
– Fold the carrier frame -2- upwards by 90 ° -arrow A-.
– Tighten the hand wheels for the carrier frame -3- by hand, turning the
hand wheels in the opposite direction to -arrows B-.

– Fold out the left and right-hand light holders -8- in -the direction of the
arrow- as far as they will go and make sure that they lock into place.
Note
The light holders -8- must tangibly and audibly engage over the
elevation -arrow-.
WARNING
When driving, the light holder always needs to be folded out.
