Selector Lever Park Position
Solenoid N380
Selector Lever Park Position Solenoid
N380 is also located at the selector lever.
It prevents the selector lever from moving
out of the “P” position when the ignition
is turned off.
The brake pedal must be pressed and the
ignition turned on to enable movement of
the selector lever from the “P” position.
It is possible to turn on the
ignition using the Access/Start
Authorization Switch E415
and using the Access/Start
Authorization Button E408.

How it works
The Selector Lever Park Position Solenoid
N380 is without current when the ignition is
turned off, disabling the selector lever in
the “P” position.
Once the ignition has been turned on, a
signal is sent from the Access/Start
Authorization Switch E415 or from the
Access/Start Authorization Button E408 to
the Access/Start Control Module J518.
This then sends current to the Selector
Lever Park Position Solenoid N380 and the
restriction is removed.
The Selector Lever Park Position Lock
Switch F319 signals to the Access/Start
Control Module J518 that the selector
lever is in “P” position.
