7. INSErTINg aND CHaNgINg THE BaTTEry
A lithium battery of type 14250 is needed to operate the meter. At initial commissioning or if
the red and green LEDs flash together to indicate change, a new, fully charged battery must
be inserted.
Proceed as follows to insert or change the batteries:
- Remove the main unit from the basic unit.
- Remove the battery compartment lid (5).
- Replace the flat battery by a new one of the same type.
- Observe the right polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment in the reverse order.
- The meter is ready for use once again.
Do not leave flat batteries in the meter. Even batteries protected against leaking can
corrode and thus release chemicals which may be detrimental to your health or destroy
the device.
