Locking the cable lock
Push the cable (C) into the corresponding opening of the cable lock until it clicks into place.
This is only possible if the numeric code is set correctly.
Twist the 3 dials (A) so that instead of the combination for unlocking the cable lock (the default
factory setting is “000”) a different numeric code is shown.
Resetting the numeric code
Set the dials to the current numeric code combination (see above “Unlocking the cable lock”).
With the help of a pin, push the adjusting knob at the bottom side of the cable lock all the way
in (D) and hold the knob in this position.
Set a new 3-digit numeric code (on the side with the engraved line marking), for example “333”.
Release the adjusting knob. The numeric code is now changed.

The following battery symbol is displayed, when the battery is full:
. (the battery
voltage exceeds 3.4 V)
If the battery is almost exhausted, the following symbol is displayed:
.
(The battery voltage is below 3.0 V.) At that time, a new battery must be inserted.)
2. “TIME” If this symbol is displayed, figures on the right indicate the current time.
3. “DATE” If this symbol is displayed, figures on the right indicate the current date. Time and
date indications are updated automatically every 10 seconds.
4. “REC” If this symbol is displayed, the data logger is in the recording mode.
5. “FULL” If this symbol is displayed, the memory is full. The data logger stops recording.
6. “%RH” If this symbol is displayed, the data logger is measuring the ambient air humidity.
7. “°C”
The temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius.
8. “°F”
The temperature is displayed in degrees Fahrenheit.
9. “MAX” If this symbol is displayed, the displayed value constitutes the maximum value of
the data set.
10. “MIN” If this symbol is displayed, the displayed value constitutes the minimum value of
the data set.
A Time or date is displayed.
B Ambient temperature or air humidity is displayed.
C Temperature display of the probe input TK2.
D Temperature display of the probe input TK1.
Software installation
• Place the CD in the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
• The installation starts automatically. If not, open your CD ROM directory and then the instal-
lation file “autorun.exe”.
• Select the desired language (German, English or French).
• Follow the instructions in the dialogue window, select the target folder for the installation and
carry out the installation.
• For more information please take note of the operating instructions contained on the CD.
• The software enclosed is the Voltsoft Standard Edition. The Professional Version (Voltsoft
Data Logger, No. 101333) may be purchased separately. When you purchase the profes-
sional version, you will get the corresponding licence key.
• Follow the instructions in the Voltsoft operating manual in order to perform an upgrade from
your software to the professional version and to register the software.

Operation
Please install the software from CD before operation. Some functions are only avail-
able if the software is used.
a) Temperature/air humidity mode
Press the button “Temp / %RH” to switch between modes of ambient temperature and air
humidity display.
The modes are indicated successively in the right zone of the LC-display.
Temperature (ºC) → Air humidity.
Temperature display in ºF (Fahrenheit) can be selected using the software.
Refer to the software manual.
b) Display of MAX/MIN values
Press the button “MAX/MIN” to switch between maximum/minimum/current measurement
and recorded value indication.
The modes are indicated successively in the left upper zone of the LC-display.
Maximum value → Minimum value → Current measurement
c) Alarm function
The alarm LED starts flashing if the measured value exceeds the preset upper limit or falls
below the preset lower limit. Double flashes of the red LED indicate that the temperature ex-
ceeded the upper limit, whereas normal flashes of the red LED indicate that the temperature
fell below the lower limit.
Flashing of the yellow LED shows that the preset air humidity value is exceeded.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
Never clean the product while it is connected to the computer. Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for
cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as these can cause discolouration. To pre-
vent scratch marks, do not press too strongly on the surface when cleaning.
