Delay time for reactivation of the cooling unit (function "F4")
If a cooling unit (with compressor) is switched on again at once after deactivation, it can be damaged by this proce-
dure. Therefore, the function "F4" can be used to set a delay time.
Example: Delay time (function "F4") = 3 minutes
After switching off the cooling unit, an internal timer will start. Before the end of the delay time of 3 minutes, the tem-
perature controller will not switch on the cooling unit again.
Automatic defrosting control (function "F6" and "F7")
The temperature controller has an automatic defrosting control. This means that it may prevent icing over, which would
cause increased energy consumption and bad cooling performance.
Every time the cooling unit starts, an internal timer starts as well. It counts for how long the cooling unit is switched on.
When this timer exceeds the time set in function "F6", the cooling unit is switched off for the time that is set in function
"F7". During defrosting, the LED " " (3) is lit.
h) Alarm
Upper temperature alarm
If the temperature measured by the temperature sensor exceeds the upper threshold, the temperature controller emits
an alarm sound after a delay time (adjustable in function "F10") and the temperature display alternates with the error
message "E2" in the display. The LED " " (11) lights up.
To prevent an alarm from being tripped quickly after activation or commissioning of the temperature control-
ler, the function "F11" can be used to set a separate delay time.
The upper threshold is calculated as follows:
Upper threshold = (target temperature) + (hysteresis value, function "F2") + (difference, function "F9")
Example: Temperature threshold = +10 °C
Hysteresis value (adjustable in function "F1") = 3 °C
Difference (adjustable in function "F9") = 15 °C
The upper threshold therefore is (+10 °C) + (3 °C) + (15 °C) = +28 °C; the signal sound and the display "E2" will begin
when the temperature measured by the temperature sensor e28 °C.
The signal sound and the display "E2" will, however, only start after the end of the delay time (adjustable in
function "F10"). This prevents too-frequent alarms.
Briefly pushing the button "
" (9) deactivates the signal sound, but the LED " " (11) will stay lit.
The alarm is ended when the temperature is back in the normal range (target temperature ± hysteresis
value). The LED " " (11) goes out.
