• Do not use the multimeter just before, during or just after a thun-
derstorm (lightning!/high-energy overvoltage!). Make sure that your
hands, shoes, clothing, the floor, circuits and circuit components
are dry.
• Never operate the product in direct proximity of:
- strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields
- Transmitter aerials or HF generators
This could affect the measurement.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer pos-
sible, disconnect the device immediately and secure it against in-
advertent operation. It can be assumed that safe operation is no
longer possible if:
- The device shows visible damage,
- the device no longer functions,
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions over an ex-
tended period of time or
- following considerable stress during transportation.
• Do not switch the meter on immediately after it was taken from a
cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms might de-
stroy your device. Allow the device to reach room temperature be-
fore switching it on.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dan-
gerous toy for children.
• Also observe the safety information in each chapter of these instruc-
tions.
7. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The meter (referred to as DMM in the following) indicates measured values on a
digital display that can be illuminated. The measured value display of the DMM
comprises 6000 counts (count = smallest display value).
A low-pass filter (LPF) can be activated to suppress interference frequencies
>160 Hz. This permits interference-free alternating current measurement at fre-
quency-overlaid signals.
The inrush function permits recording of start-up currents in the AC measuring
range within 100 ms.
