10. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
The following additional functions can be used to make device settings or use spe-
cial measuring functions.
a) HOLD function
The “HOLD” function keeps the currently indicated measured value in the displays
to allow you to read or record it easily.
Ensure that this function is deactivated before the test starts.
Otherwise, the measurement will be incorrect!
Also observe that the “HOLD” button was not pushed at the
beginning of the measurement (display with the button pushed:
“HOLD”). If the Hold function is activated before commence-
ment of the measurement, no measured value is displayed! If
a measurement is performed anyway, a warning sound will be
emitted and the display will start to flash when the measured
value exceeds approx. 50 counts.
Push the button “HOLD” to activate the hold function. The symbol “HOLD” appears
in the display. Push the button “HOLD” to deactivate the hold function. The sym-
bol goes out.
b) LPF function (low-pass filter)
The LPF function permits suppression of undesired measured signals above
160 Hz in the measuring function A-AC. The signals are weakened by approx.
-24 dB/octave.
- Briefly push the button “LPF”. Input is confirmed by a beep. The display shows
the symbol “LPF” together with the current type “AC”.
- Connect the current probe to the object to be
measured.
- The measured value is indicated on the display.
- Push the button “Inrush” or “A” to return to the normal
measuring function.
The LPF function is only available in AC current measuring operation.
