c) Testing the charging status
It is only possible to display the precise charging status, if the car battery
has rested for at least 30 minutes. That means the car battery must not be
charged or discharged within that time frame.
• Connect the red positive connector to the positive terminal and the black
negative connector to the negative terminal of the car battery.
• The charging status lights (3 - 6) indicate the approximate charging
capacity in percent (40 %, 60 %, 80 %, 100 %).
• Remove the terminal connectors after testing. First disconnect the
negative connector and then disconnect the positive connector.
d) Testing the starter motor
• Connect the red positive connector to the positive terminal and the black
negative connector to the negative terminal of the car battery.
• If the starter motor test indicator (7) lights up after pressing the starter,
the starter motor is in good condition.
• Remove the terminal connectors after testing. First disconnect the
negative connector and then disconnect the positive connector.
9. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners.
• Disconnect the terminal connectors each time before cleaning the car
battery.
• Do not open the device. Apart from occasional cleaning, the device is
maintenance-free.
