If a minus “-” appears in front of the measured value for direct voltage, the measured voltage is negative
(or the measuring lines are swapped).
The voltage range “V/AC+DC” has an input resistance of ≥10 MΩ. This will put barely any strain on the
circuit.
e) LoZ Alternating Voltage Measurement “V/AC”
The LoZ measuring function permits alternating voltage measurement with low impedance (approx. 300 kΩ). The
lower internal resistance of the meter reduces wrong measurement of scatter and phantom voltages. The measuring
circuit is, however, subject to higher strain than with the standard measuring function.
Proceed as follows to measure alternating voltages "AC " (LoZ V ):
- Turn the DMM on and select measuring function “LoZ V ”.
The display shows “LoZ AC” and the unit “V”.
- Plug the red measuring line into the V measuring jack (E)
and the black measuring line into the COM measuring
jack (D).
- Connect the two measuring prods to the object to be
measured in parallel (generator, circuit, etc.).
- The voltage measured value is displayed in the main dis-
play and the frequency in the small subdisplay.
- Remove the measuring lines from the object to be meas-
ured after completion of the measurement and switch off
the DMM.
The voltage range “LoZ V/AC” has an input re-
sistance of <300 kΩ. This will put a slight strain
on the circuit.
