3. Intended use
Measuring and displaying electric parameters in the range of excess voltage category III (up to max. 600 V against
ground potential, pursuant to EN 61010-2-033:2012 and EN 61326-1:2013; EN 61326-2-2:2013, EN 61010-2-
030:2010; EN 61010-2-033:2012.
• Measuring direct and alternating voltage up to a maximum of 600 V
• Measuring direct and alternating currents (in mA, µA, A) of up to a maximum of 10 A
•
Measuring of resistance of up to 60 MΩ
• Acoustic continuity test
• Measuring capacitance
• Testing diodes
• Temperature measurement with K-type thermo sensor
• Measuring frequency in Hz and duty ratio in %
• Non-contact 230 V/AC voltage test
The measurement functions are selected using the rotary control. The measuring range is selected automatically for
all measuring functions except temperature and non-contact voltage measuring. Manual setting is possible at any
time except the latter two.
The digital multimeter shows actual effective measured values (True RMS) in the direct and alternating voltage and
current measuring ranges.
Polarity is automatically indicated with the prefix (-) if the measured value is negative.
The measuring inputs are secured against overload. The voltage in the measuring circuit may not exceed 600 V. The
measuring ranges are equipped with ceramic high-performance fuses.
The device may only be operated with a 9 V block battery.
The digital multimeter must not be operated when it is open, i.e. with an open battery compartment or when the battery
compartment cover is missing. Measuring in damp rooms or under unfavourable ambient conditions is not admissible.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
• Wetness or high air humidity,
•
Dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvent,
•
Thunderstorms or similar conditions such as strong electrostatic fields etc.
