d) MAX/MIN function
The MAX/MIN function stores the maximum and minimum values detected during a measurement and shows them
permanently on the display.
Before taking a measurement, enable manual range selection and select a suitable measurement
range. When automatic range selection is enabled, the memory is deleted when the measurement
range changes and measurement errors may occur.
Press the “MAX/MIN” button to enable this feature. “MAX” will appear on the display. The maximum value will be
shown on the main display. The maximum value is indicated by the “MAX” symbol.
Press the “MAX/MIN” button again to view the minimum value. The minimum value will be shown on the main display.
The minimum value is indicated by the “MIN” symbol.
Press the “MAX/MIN” button again to view the maximum value.
To disable this function, press and hold the “MAX/MIN” button for 2 seconds. “MAX/MIN” will disappear from the
display.
The MAX/MIN function is only available for voltage, current and temperature measurements.
e) REL function
The REL function allows you to take a reference measurement to avoid possible line losses (e.g. during resistance
measurements). This function resets the current measurement to zero.
Press the “REL” button to enable this mode and save the reference value. The delta symbol (Δ) will appear on the
display. The display will be reset to zero and automatic range selection will be disabled.
To disable this mode, press the “REL” button again or change the measuring mode using the rotary dial.
The REL function is not available in the following modes: Continuity test, diode test, frequency and
pulse ratio.
f) AC voltage measurements with low-pass filter (“LPF”)
The “LPF” function allows the DMM to filter interfering signals of over 100 Hz. These signals can lead to inaccurate
measurements. The DMM filters these signals and only measures the voltage signal. The following diagram indicates
how this function works:
