INSERTING / REPLACING BATTERIES
4.
Remove the battery compartment cover at the rear of the product.
1.
Insert three batteries (type AAA), observing their correct polarity. Observe the polarity markings
2.
in the battery compartment. The fabric strip should be positioned under the batteries, allowing
batteries to be easily taken out when they are replaced.
Close the battery compartment again.
3.
Replace the batteries when “Lo” appears on the display.
OPERATION
5.
General
Place the scales on a stable, horizontal and level surface.
1.
Lift the cover of the scales.
2.
Press the button ON/OFF to switch the scales on. All display elements will be displayed for
3.
approx. three seconds, followed by the value “0“ being displayed. If another value is shown,
press the button TARE.
Press the button MODE to select the unit: grams (g), ounces (oz), pennyweight (dwt) or
4.
quantity (pcs). A horizontal line will appear next to the selected unit.
Place the object to be weighed carefully on the weighing platform. The object’s weight will be
5.
shown on the display.
Press the button ON/OFF to switch the scales off. Alternatively, the scales will switch off
6.
automatically after idling for approx. six minutes.
Tare function
The tare function is intended for net measuring using a weighing container. The tare function
offsets the weight of the used weighing container so that the display shows only the net weight
of the measuring object.
Switch on the scale and place the empty weighing container (bowl, basket, etc.) on the
1.
weighing platform and wait until the display is stabilized.
Press the button TARE and the display shows “0.00” despite of the weighing container resting
2.
on the scale.
Put the object to be measured into the weighing container. The display indicates the net
3.
weight of the object.
If you would like to measure without weighing container, remove it from the weighing platform
4.
and press the button TARE. Any tarred value will be displayed as a negative number once all
weight is removed from the scale.
The weighing capacity of the weigh scale includes the weighing container. Therefore,
it is recommended to use a weighing container which is as light as possible.
Counting units
This function determines the quantity of units of an equal weight.
Press the button MODE repeatedly until the horizontal line to the right of the display appears
1.
next to “pcs”.
Press the button PCS to set the reference unit number (10, 20, 50, 100, 200).
2.
Place exactly as many objects on the weighing platform as set as the reference unit number.
3.
Press the button MODE. The display will show the number of units.
4.
Now place the objects to be counted on the weighing platform. The display will show the
5.
number of units.
The reference value will be stored even after the scales have been turned off.
However, if you want to count other types of objects, proceed as described above.
Calibration
To calibrate the scales you need a standard weight of 500 g (not included in delivery).
When the scales are turned off, press and hold the button TARE until the display shows a
1.
four- to fi ve-digit value (between 4000 – 22000).
Wait until this value has stabilized and then press the button TARE again. The display will
2.
show the value “500”.
Place the standard weight on the weighing platform and press the button TARE. First “CAL“
3.
and then “PASS“ will appear on the display. This means that the calibration process has been
