14. SETTING BACKLIGHT
Briefly push the button “
BACKLIGHT/ALERT STOP
” (2) to activate the backlighting of the LC display
of the base station for about 5 seconds.
15. SET-UP
a) Base station
• The base station can be set up in a suitable position using the stand (8). It must be horizontal,
sufficiently large, stable and smooth, and also be outside of the reach of children.
• For wall mounting, there is a matching opening at the back of the base station.
b) Remote Sensor
• Position the remote sensor at a suitable location that will be in the shade all day. Otherwise, solar
radiation will cause an incorrect measurement.
• For wall mounting, there is a matching opening at the back of the remote sensor.
Heed the permissible ambient conditions as mentioned under technical data.
16. BATTERY CHANGE
Battery replacement for the remote sensor or base station is required when the battery symbol
shows
“
Low Battery
”
or
• the display contrast drops strongly
• nothing is displayed
All settings are lost during battery change. Therefore, proceed as described in chapter 9.
17. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• The product requires no servicing on your part aside from occasional cleaning. Use a soft,
antistatic and lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
