MAX Button
The MAX button makes it possible to display the maximum value in multimeter operation. “MAX”
appears in the display and only the highest value is displayed. To deactivate this function, press the but-
ton again.
In the “IR” temperature measuring area, the display skips between last measured value, maximum value
(display “MAX”) and minimum value (display “MIN”). Every time you press, you switch the display.
MODE Button
The MODE button makes it possible to skip through subfunctions. Each press switches the function.
•
During current measurement (µA, mA, 10A), the device switches from AC (alternate current) to DC
(direct current).
•
For diode measurement, the device switches to acoustic continuity test.
•
For temperature measurements, the temperature unit is switched from °Celsius “°C” to °Fahrenheit
“°F”.
HOLD Button
The HOLD button makes it possible to manually capture the currently measured value in multimeter ope-
ration. The active function is shown in the display by “HOLD”. Pressing the button again switches the func-
tion off again.
This button is not active in the temperature measuring range. Here, the measured value is automatically
captured during the measuring break.
RANGE button
The RANGE button enables manual measuring range selection in the voltage, current and impedance
measuring functions. This function is not active for diode test, continuity test and temperature measure-
ment.
Every time it is pressed, the auto range function is deactivated (display “Auto” goes out) and switches to
the next higher measuring range. After the largest measuring range, it starts again with the smallest one.
For switching off the manual measuring range selection, keep the “RANGE” button pressed for approx.
2s. The display shows “Auto” again.
Auto power OFF function
The DMM turns off automatically after 15 minutes if no button or switch is operated. This function pro-
tects the battery, saves battery power and extends the service life.
After approx. 14 minutes, a signal sound is emitted to indicate that the device will switch off soon.
To reactivate the DMM after automatic shutdown, use the rotary switch or press any button.
in the temperature measurement area, the DMM can only be switched on with the “IR” button or rotary
switch.
