Follow the steps below to measure AC currents (A ):
- Switch the DMM on and select “A”, “mA” or “µA” mode. Press “SELECT” to switch to the AC measurement
range. “AC” and “TRMS” appear on the display. Press the “SELECT” button again to switch back to DC mode.
- The table shows the different modes and potential measurement ranges. Select the measurement range and cor-
responding measurement sockets.

- Insert the red test lead into the mA µA or 10 A measurement socket. Insert the black test lead into the COM meas-
urement socket.
- Connect the two measuring probes (de-energised) in series to the object that you want to measure (e.g. generator
or circuit). The electrical circuit must be disconnected before you connect the probes.
- Reconnect the circuit. The measurement will appear on the display.
After measuring, disconnect the circuit and remove the test leads from the measured object. Switch the DMM off.
