9. POWER THE PRODUCT
The product is powered by either six 1.5 V batteries type C or 230 V/AC, 50 Hz. Based on your needs,
select one of the methods below to power the product.
Battery
Disconnect the product from the power source before opening the storage compartment.
Disconnect the measuring leads from the product before opening the storage
compartment.
Never operate the meter when it is open. Danger to life!
A new, fully charged battery must be inserted at initial commissioning or if the battery change symbol
appears on the display.
1. Slide the DC / AC selection switch (21) to the position “DC”.
2. Turn the two screws on top of the product from the position “CLOSE” to “OPEN” to unlock the
storage compartment.
3. Turn the two screws inside from the position “CLOSE” to “OPEN” to unlock the battery compartment.
4. Open the battery compartment and insert / replace six 1.5 V batteries type C while observing the
correct polarity.
