b) Electrical safety
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the product.
If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, power down the respective socket
(e.g. switch off the circuit breaker), and then remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated may destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Never connect or disconnect the measuring adapter if your hands are wet.
• Never disassemble the measuring adapter.
• Do not exceed the specified measurement ranges.
• Only use the measuring adapter to measure voltage and current. Do not use it to operate
electrical devices for prolonged periods.
• Do not insert a screwdriver, pins or other metal objects into the openings on the measuring
adapter.
• Never short circuit the contacts in the measuring adapter. Taking a current measurement
directly on the measuring adapter will cause a short circuit.

Setup and operation
To ensure that the device is configured correctly, read these instructions and the safety
information carefully before first use.
The measuring adapter allows you to take simple electrical measurements in closed-circuit systems with
CEE mains plugs. The five separate inner conductors are freely accessible via the earthed measuring
chamber. You do not need to open the mains cable. Each measuring chamber is marked accordingly (L1,
L2, L3, N, ).
Follow the steps below to take a measurement:
• Plug the measuring adapter into the CEE socket
that you want to measure.
• Select the appropriate measuring range on your
multimeter.
• Depending on the product, the current can be
between 0–16 and 0–32 A.
• When you have finished taking measurements,
remove the test prods from the measuring
chambers and disconnect the measuring adapter
from the CEE socket.

Care and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the mains
before cleaning it. Unplug the measuring adapter
from the CEE socket and disconnect all connected
devices from the product.
• The adapter does not require maintenance except
for occasional cleaning.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol
or other chemical solutions, as these may damage
the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. At the end
of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Intended use
This compact measuring adapter is designed to quickly connect measurement devices to CEE three-phase
sockets in order to take measurements in accordance with DIN VDE 0100 regulations. It must only be used
in overvoltage category II in AC voltage circuits with a maximum rated voltage of 415 V/AC that are fused
with a 16 A (VMA-3L 16) or 32 A (VMA-3L 32) fuse. Measurements can be taken with standard multimeters
on the insulated measuring chambers. You can measure the current of phase wires "L1, L2, L3" or the
neutral "N" wire as well as the leakage (stray) current on the earth wire. Only use the measuring adapter
for the duration of the measurement. Do not leave the measuring adapter connected to the mains circuit for
prolonged periods.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g. in bathrooms)
must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for
purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause
hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe
place. Only make this product available to third parties together with its operating instructions.
This product complies with statutory, national and European regulations. All company and product names are
