Neutral Interlock Button
The neutral interlock button, which is only available on
side-mount controls, prevents accidental movement of
the control lever out of the neutral position. This button
must be depressed to shift the lever out of neutral.
To move the control lever away from neutral:
1 With the control lever in NEUTRAL, depress the
neutral interlock button.
2 While keeping the button pressed, move control
lever out of neutral in the desired direction. Once
the lever is out of the neutral position, you may
release the button.
The neutral interlock will automatically re-engage
when the control lever is returned to the NEUTRAL
position.
Throttle Only
The gear shift can be disengaged so that the control
lever affects only the engine throttle speed.
To disengage the shift mechanism, move the control
lever to the neutral position, press the gear shift
release button, then move the control lever to the throt-
tle range of the control mechanism.
This feature will disengage when the control lever is
moved to neutral.
