Maintenance instructions
Thorough maintenance and care (as well as the repair of pos-
sible faults) are the best prerequisites for a permanent availa-
bility and low repair requirements.
Before starting maintenance or repair work the machine must
be parked on level ground, the working attachments lowered
flat to the ground and the hydraulic system depressurized, i.e.
the engine is shut down and the levers for the working
hydraulics must be shifted several times from neutral to the
positions "Up - Down" - "Tipping back - Tipping".
– Pull the ignition key off in order to eliminate the risk of unitended
starting of the machine.
– Apply the hand brake, place chocks under the wheels.
– When performing service work in the articulation area of the
machine the articulation lock must also be engaged.
– For maintenance work under the raised lifting frame this must
be supported to prevent unintended lowering.
– The stability of the wheel loader must be ensured for assembly,
maintenance and repair work.
– When lifting the machine use the lifting eyes provided for this
purpose. Secure a jacked up machine by piling e. g. wooden
beams crosswise underneath or by supporting with trestles.
– Use only tools which are in good condition. The purpose of
each tool must be clear before starting maintenance work.
– Do not wear loose objects or jewellery when working on the
machine. Always wear hard hat, protective goggles, safety
gloves or other necessary protective outfit if this is required for
the work.
– When replacing spare parts make sure to use genuine spare
parts. Do not use any fastening elements of lower quality.
– Make sure that steps, maintenance areas and hand grips are
free of oil and dirt.
– Cleanliness is decisive for the operating safety of the complete
machine. Always keep the maintenance location clean and tidy.
