If there is a fault in the air conditioning unit, all LEDs in the system will flash for 20 seconds. If this
fault still exists next time you start the car you should contact your Volvo retailer.

Automatic setting
Set the blower control and air distribution selector knobs to "AUT" and set the desired temperature dial.
The blower will automatically select the best speed to maintain cabin temperature.
Optimum defrosting
Set the air distribution selector to
and move the blower control to the position AUT (as far to the left
as possible). The AC system will be on at this time even if the AC OFF button is depressed and the
blower will run at its maximum speed. When the windows have cleared, move the function selector
knob to the "AUT" position.
Additional information
· When the air conditioning system is used, it will function best if it is left on continuously, and not
switched off intermittently.
· Always keep the air inlet grille at the base of the windshield free of snow.
· Water under the vehicle in hot weather can be the result of condensation from the air conditioning
system and is normal.
· The air conditioning system functions only at temperatures just above 39° F (4° C).
Recirculation : Use the recirculation setting for a few minutes if you wish to exclude exhaust fumes
from the cars around you. With this setting, no outside air is brought in from outside the car. To avoid
risk of accumulation of stale air and mist inside the car, recirculation goes off automatically after 10-15
