Description
General operator: an operator without specific skills, only able to carry out simple
tasks according to the instructions of qualified technicians.
Lifting and handling gear operator: an operator authorised to use lifting gear and for
handling materials and machines (strictly according to the manufacturer's
instructions), according to the laws in force in the country in which the machine is
used.
Mechanical maintenance operator: a qualified technician able to operate the
machine under normal conditions, to make it work in jog mode with the protective
devices deactivated, and do work on the mechanical parts to effect the necessary
adjustments, maintenance and repairs. Normally, they are not authorised to work on
live electrical systems.
Electrical maintenance operator: a qualified technician able to operate the machine
under normal conditions, to make it work in jog mode with the protective devices
deactivated, and do all tasks of an electrical nature involved in adjustments,
maintenance and repairs. They are able to work in electrical cabinets and derivation
boxes, with the power on.
Manufacturer's technician: a qualified technician made available by the manufacturer
to carry out complex tasks in particular situations or, in any case, as agreed with the
user. The skills they posses are of a mechanical and/or electrical and/or electronic
and/or software nature.
