Initial configuration
The system allows the selection of one of three speed
settings for the brushless motors:
- minimum speed, Vmin;
- maximum speed, Vmax;
- medium speed (between the previous two settings),
Vmed.
The default settings for these three speeds are those
used for the following functions (for air extraction)
- Vmin = 1605 Rpm: airflow = 120 m

/h, @60 Pa;
- Vmed = 2340 Rpm: airflow = 200 m
3
/h, @100 Pa;
- Vmax = 3076 Rpm: airflow = 300 m
3
/h, @130 Pa;
The desired speed setting can be selected using the
three-speed switch on the control unit connected to the
appliance (See Functions).
If the required performance were not reached with the
previous setting, the default settings can be changed
using the remote control unit (in combination with the
optional radio module connected to the ECU). In such
circumstances, the Vmin and Vmax speed settings can
be set as you please and (the Vmed setting is always
calculated automatically as the mathematical average of
the previous two settings).
Setting the bypass set-point temperature and
setting the EC brushless motor speed (using the
infrared remote control).
To change the set-point temperature controlling
automatic opening of the bypass valve and the speed of
the EC brushless motors, apply the setting procedure as
follows:
- Connect the control unit to the appliance (fig.
21,22,23,24)
- Connect the optional radio module to the appliance
- Press the ON/OFF button on the control box. This will
supply power to the ECU and the appliance will start
at the speed shown on the switch.
- Insert the batteries in the remote control.
- Carry out the procedure whereby the remote control is
recognised by the ECU within 60 sec of the ECU being
switched on. The procedure involves keeping the
ENTER button pressed for at least 3 seconds. When
the remote control unit has been recognised, it will
emit a

second beep.
- Turn the remote control unit ON with the ON/OFF
button. The appliance will take on the Vmin and Vmax
settings on the remote control;
