• Do not use this product for any use other than that
specified in this instruction booklet.
• After having removed the product from its packaging,
ensure that it is undamaged: if in doubt, contact a
Vortice Service Centre. Do not leave the packaging
within reach of children or the mentally disabled.
• The use of any electrical appliance involves
respecting some basic rules, such as:
- do not touch with wet or damp hands;
- do not touch when barefoot;
- do not allow use by children or the mentally disabled.
• Do not use the appliance in the presence of
flammable substances or vapours such as alcohol,
insecticides, petrol, etc.
• If you do not wish to continue using the appliance,
turn off and unplug from the mains. Store the
appliance out of the reach of children and the
mentally disabled.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without supervision.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

• Do not make any alterations to the product.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric
agents (rain, sun, etc.).
• The product must be installed only by professionally
qualified personnel.
• Periodically inspect the appliance for damage. If any
damage is found, do not use the product, and
immediately contact the nearest Vortice Service
Centre.
• The mains supply to which the appliance is
connected must conform to electrical regulations.
• The appliance does not require connection to a
grounding system, since it is built with double
insulation.
• Connect the product to the mains/socket only if the
capacity of the mains/socket is adequate for its
maximum power capacity. If this should not be the
case, consult a professionally qualified electrician.
• For installation an omnipolar switch with a contact
opening distance of 3 mm or greater is required.
• The appliance is designed to expel or introduce air
directly or through short sections of piping reserved
for this use. Efficiency is compromised if the
appliance is connected to piping with strong
counter-pressure.
• The air/fumes to be extracted must be clean (i.e.
without grease, soot, chemical and corrosive agents
or explosive and flammable mixtures) and of a
temperature not exceeding 50°C (122°F)
(mod. 300/12” 60 Hz 40°C 104°F).
• It is fundamental to ensure that the air is changed in
the room for correct operation of the product. If there
is a fuel-driven appliance (water-heater, gas fire,
etc.) which is not of an airtight type, installed in the
same room, ensure that there is also sufficient
change of air for the combustion needs of this other
appliance.
• Do not cover or obstruct the appliances’ two inlet
and outlet grilles.
• If the product falls or receives hard blows, have it
examined immediately at a Vortice Service Centre.
• In the case of malfunction or fault, turn the
appliance off. Immediately contact a Vortice Service
Centre and, if repair is necessary, ask for original
Vortice spare parts to be used.
• Turn off the appliance when it is not in use.
• If you decide not to continue using the appliance,
you should make it unusable, by unplugging it from
the mains and storing it out of the reach of children
and the mentally disabled.
• When adjusting the grille (B) (Fig. 5), ensure that the
mechanical switch control lever (Z) is in the down
position (Fig. 18).

a control switch. The slats, located below the grille,
open automatically a few seconds after the appliance
has been turned on.
The power-source data must be consistent with
the electrical data shown on the name plate A.
