N.B.
The siphon traps must be created observing the
dimensions indicated in fig. 5; otherwise, correct operation
of the appliance cannot be guaranteed.
Condensate can also be drained off through the waste
plumbing system of the building. If the drain line is routed
outside of the building, it must be protected from freezing
temperatures.

Operation
The fan units internally of the appliance are independently adjustable, so that the performance of the system can be
adapted to compensate for pressure losses on either channel and guarantee a correct balance between the two air flows.
This adjustment is made by the installer: the appliance leaves the factory with the fans set to run at identical speeds.
All models are specified with a by-pass: the purpose of the by-pass is to allow ventilation of the surrounding space
without any transfer of heat. With the by-pass valve open, air can be introduced directly from outside, without passing
through the heat exchanger. The flow of air expelled from the interior continues to pass through the heat exchanger.
The appliance is designed for two types of operation: “Winter” and “Summer”, determined by distinct by-pass activation
temperatures: in the case of “winter” operation, the by-pass is activated when the outdoor temperature exceeds a
predetermined threshold; in the case of “summer” operation, the by-pass is activated when the outdoor temperature
remains below the threshold. (see further on under option “2 - Set Point” of the main menu).
The appliance has two operating modes: “Manual” and “Auto”: in “Manual” mode the user (installer only) can change the
3 speed settings with which the appliance leaves the factory, and open or close the by-pass valve; in “Auto” mode, control
of the system is completely automatic.
All adjustments offered by the system can be made from the remote panel supplied with the appliance, which is
connected by wire (maximum length of cable run: 200 m). With this panel, and the software used by the micro PLC
controller incorporated into the appliance, the following functions are provided:
--switch operation between “Winter” and “Summer”
--switch operation between “Manual” and “Auto” mode
--select and set fan speed (manual operation).
--open/close the by-pass (manual operation)
--vary the operating speed (in Manual mode)
--set the threshold values of room sensors (inside and outside the appliance) (manufacturer/installer only)
--display alarm conditions.
--communicate with pressure sensors via MOD BUS (manufacturer/installer only).
--modify and update software using USB port to connect with PC (manufacturer/installer only)
--program the operation of the appliance by time bands.
--manage all analog and digital signals through input and output (manufacturer/installer only)
--generate filter replacement warning messages on the control panel display
