FIRST TIME OPERATION
NOTICE
►
Before first time operation, make sure that the blades are oiled to prevent
damage or defects to the machine. The blades are already oiled at the factory,
but it is recommended to check this before first use.
►
Ensure that the blades are sharp before use to avoid injury to the animal by
pulling hair.
►
To slow the dulling of the blades, clean the animal‘s coat thoroughly before
each clipping.
7.1 SWITCHING THE CLIPPER ON AND OFF
The clipper has 2 power levels. We recommend the first stage for sensitive, frightened
animals or sensitive areas. The second stage is suitable for regular shearing.
1.
Make sure that the on/off switch (3) is in the „O“ position.
2.
Connect the power cord to a power outlet that meets the requirements of the
clipper.
3.
To switch on the clipper, set the on/off switch (3) to „I“ for level 1 or „II“ for level 2.
CAUTION
►
Only use the machine with correctly inserted and sharp blades.
►
Do not use the machine for longer than the specified maximum continuous
operation time. Afterwards, let the machine rest for at least 10 minutes.
4.
To switch off the machine, set the on/off switch (3) to „O“.
7.2 ADJUSTING THE BLADE
Before use, the tension of the blades should be
correctly adjusted. If the tension between the blades
is too low, hairs will collect between them, which will
considerably worsen the clipping.
1.
Switch off the clipper and disconnect it from the
power supply.
2. To adjust the shearing blades, tighten the tensioning
nut (2) until the first resistance is felt (fig. 1).
3.
To achieve an optimum tension between the
shearing blades, do not continue to turn more
than 1/4 turn.
Info
►
If the clipping performance deteriorates, the tension between the shearing
blades is no longer correct. Switch off the machine, disconnect it from the
power supply and turn the tensioning nut (2) for 1/4 turn to restore the tension.
►
If the result does not improve after adjusting the tension, the shearing blades
must be sharpened. Contact qualified personnel for this.
