4. Using a screwdriver with the security chuck, remove the four (4
) security screws (¼” x ½
Long SS machine screw with a 6 point security head) on the top panel.
5. Move the Emergency Stop Switch lever in the direction indicated by the arrow. You can use
a screwdriver to flip the Lever to the other side of the switch. Pull the Knob and the terminal
block to separate.

6. Loosen and remove the locking ring securing the knob to the scanner.
A wrench is not required as the locking ring is tightened hand-tight.
7. Remove the knob through the top of the scanner and the terminal
block through the access hole.
8. Unscrew the wires from the terminal.
9. Align the new knob in the space in the top of the scanner.
10. Secure in place with the locking ring and tighten hand-tight.
11. Insert the wires into the terminal block and screw in place.
12. Align the terminal block the knob and gently twist the two units until the lever clicks in place
to lock.
13. Replace the top security panels and secure using the security screws.
6.8 Replace the Conveyor Motor
To change the motor, first remove the conveyor belt.
Tools:
Screwdriver and Security Chuck
Needlenose Pliers
½” (10mm) Hex head socket wrench
To remove the conveyor belt proceed as follows:
1. Unplug the scanner power cable from the wall receptacle.
2. Using a screwdriver with the security chuck, remove the (2 or 4) security screws (M6 x 25
SS machine screw with a 6 point security head) on the base front (to access the UPS) and
rear access panel.
3. Turn off the UPS by pressing the power button.
4. Unplug the motor plug from the Power Distribution Unit.
5. To access the conveyor idler or motor the handles and shrouds must be removed:
