1. Precautions for handling and cleaning discs
1.1. Handling discs
To keep a disc clean
Do not touch the play side (non-label side) of the disc.
Do not attach paper or tape to the disc.
Keep the disc away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Store the disc in a disc case after playback.
1.2. Cleaning discs
Before playback, wipe the disc outwards from the centre with clean cloth.
Keep dust from the pickup lens by keeping the disc tray closed after use.
If there is dust on the pickup lens, use a cleaning disc to clean it.
Refer to the operating instructions of the cleaning disc you bought.
If you cannot wipe off the dust with a soft cloth, wipe the disc lightly with a slightly moistened soft cloth
and finish with a dry cloth.

Do not use any type of solvent such as thinner, benzine, commercially available cleaners or antistatic
spray for vinyl, it may damage the disc
1.3. Storing discs
Do not store discs in a place subject to direct sunlight or near heat source
Do not store discs in place subject to moisture and dust such as a
bathroom or near a humidifier.
Store discs vertically in a case. Stacking or placing object on discs
outside or their case may cause warping.
1.4. Location
Do not locate the unit in places such as:

Next to heating devices or in enclosed car.
2.
High temperature (40'C or higher) or high humidity (90% or higher)
3.
Dirty places
4.
Avoid direct exposure to sunshine

Check & make sure the power connection is securely mounted
Ensure that the correct video cable is connected to the output of your TV
Ensure the TV unit is set to VIDEO or S-VIDEO or COMPONENT settings
Press Video Mode button on your remote until it appears normal picture
Change the System Audio Setup for STEREO Setting:
To be used when 2 speakers' outlets exist or when plug directly into your TV unit
Ensure that the "MUTE" button is not set to "ON" for DVD player or TV unit
Ensure that the Audio cable is not faulty
Check that the disc is properly inserted or you may have to clean the disc
Check the disc if it has the correct format
Ensure that the disc has NO scratches
Fail to respond
to remote control
Remove obstacles between remote control and unit
Aim remote control at the sensor on the front panel of the player

Check batteries & replace them if necessary
Picture Blurred
Check the disc for dirt & scratches - clean or replace disc
Shut down the unit, wait ten seconds and restart the unit again

the unit, wait ten seconds and restart it again
3. Condensation
The following circumstances may result in condensation on the pickup:
If you have just turned on the heater or the cold air from an air conditioner directly hits
the unit.
If you move the unit from an air-conditioned room to a hot, humid room.
The room is humid or damp.
If condensation occurs, the player will not operate properly. Remove the disc, connect
the power cord, turn on the player, and leave it for two or three hours so the player can
warm up and evaporate any moisture.
