Warnings – Dos and Don’ts Cont.
-
To remove the preamp shields, push up and turn clockwise.

If you ever have a problem with any tube Amp, unplug it, let the tubes cool down, and
reseat all the tubes. This is done by pushing up on the tube while rotating the bottom end.
I had to do this with a new Fender Amp once. The tubes get unseated when set down
hard. Some older Amps need their tube socket connectors closed up for a firmer grip the
tube pins. Electrolytic caps are often replaced too; they looked good to me; no leakage,
when I cleaned the Pots in January 2010.

The Aux Speaker output can be used as an effects send if the proper voltage divider
circuit is designed and used to get the 12 V down to 3 mV, the total resistance of the
circuit should be 100K
Ώ
. Any unused Input can be a return as long as it matches the
guitar output voltage (3mV into100K
Ώ
). (Like a stomp box output) Let a qualified Tech do
this for you!
-
The foot switch jack (Tip) could be used as a dry effect send; again with the proper
voltage divider circuit. Talk to your Tech about it.
