Important safety instructions
When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury, including the following:
Read and understand all nstructons.
Follow all warnngs and nstructons marked on the product.
Unplug ths product from the wall outlet before cleanng. Do not use lqud or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleanng.
Do not use ths product near water (for example, near a bathtub, ktchen snk, or swmmng pool).
Do not place ths product on an unstable table, shelf, stand or other unstable surfaces.
Slots and openngs n the back or bottom of the telephone base and handset are provded for ventlaton. To protect them from overheatng, these openngs
must not be blocked by placng the product on a soft surface such as a bed, sofa or rug. Ths product should never be placed near or over a radator or heat
regster. Ths product should not be placed n any area where proper ventlaton s not provded.
Ths product should be operated only from the type of power source ndcated on the markng label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply n your
home, consult your dealer or local power company.
Do not allow anythng to rest on the power cord. Do not nstall ths product where the cord may be walked on.
Never push objects of any knd nto ths product through the slots n the telephone base or handset because they may touch dangerous voltage ponts or create
a short crcut. Never spll lqud of any knd on the product.
To reduce the rsk of electrc shock, do not dsassemble ths product, but take t to an authorzed servce faclty. Openng or removng parts of the telephone
base or handset other than specified access doors may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect reassembling can cause electric shock
when the product s subsequently used.
Do not overload wall outlets and extenson cords.
Unplug ths product from the wall outlet and refer servcng to an authorzed servce faclty under the followng condtons:
When the power supply cord or plug s damaged or frayed.
If lqud has been splled onto the product.
If the product has been exposed to ran or water.
If the product does not operate normally by followng the operatng nstructons. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operaton nstructons.
Improper adjustment of other controls may result n damage and often requres extensve work by an authorzed techncan to restore the product to
normal operaton.
If the product has been dropped and the telephone base and/or handset has been damaged.
If the product exhbts a dstnct change n performance.
Avod usng a telephone (other than cordless) durng an electrcal storm. There s a remote rsk of electrc shock from lghtnng.
Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak n the vcnty of the leak.
Only put the handset of your telephone next to your ear when t s n normal talk mode.
The power adapter is intended to be correctly oriented in a vertical or floor mount position. The prongs are not designed to hold the plug in place if it is
plugged nto a celng or an under-the-table/cabnet outlet.
