communicate over only a certain distance ---which can vary with the locations of the telephone base and handset, the weather, and the layout of your home or office.

If there s a call whle the handset s out of range, t mght not rng, or f t does rng, the call mght not connect well when you press
HOME/FLASH
. Move closer to
the telephone base, then press
HOME/FLASH
to answer the call.
If the handset moves out of range durng a telephone conversaton, there mght be nterference.
To mprove recepton, move closer to the telephone base.

Your telephone can be damaged f t gets wet. Do not use the handset n the ran, or handle t wth wet hands. Do not nstall the telephone base near a snk, bathtub
or shower.
Electrical storms
Electrcal storms can sometmes cause power surges harmful to electronc equpment. For your own safety, take cauton when usng electrc applances durng storms.
Cleaning your telephone

Remember that electrcal applances can cause serous njury f used when you are wet or standng n water. If the telephone base should fall nto the water, DO
NOT RETRIEVE IT UNTIL YOU UNPLUG THE POWER CORD AND TELEPHONE LINE CORD FROM THE WALL. Then pull the unt out by the unplugged cords.
