5.9. Electrical connections
Electrical connections of components of the unit should be done by a person, which has proper qualifications and authorization, and performed in accordance with proper
standards and regulations, which are obligatory in the country, where the device is installed. Before connecting one should check if working voltage, frequency and protection
are conforming to information present on data plate of the device. If there are any discrepancies, devices should not be connected. When long cable connections are used
one should check sections of used cables.
5.10. Electric heater
The heater should be connected in a way, which will prevent it from turning on when the fan is not working. Besides when the work of the fan is stopped the power supply
of the heater must be turned off. Every little heater of the heater is separately wired to the terminal strip, which is placed at the side of the casing of heating component
(fot. 13) (access to the component is possible after taking off the inspection panel of the section, where the electric heater was installed). Depending on the system of applied
control devices the power of the heater may be regulated continuously or gradually. To have continuous regulation of the heater little heaters should be connected in groups
(fot. 14). The strip is equipped with terminals, which are used for connecting the ground and neutral conductor (the casing of the heater must be connected with the neutral
or ground conductor) and terminals of thermostat protecting from too high air temperature raise inside the heater, caused by the lack or decrease of the intensity of air flow.
Functioning of the thermostat is based on the properties of bimetallic element causing opening the contacts of circuit, which control power supply of the heater, at the air
temperature value near the thermostat up to 65°C. Contacts close again after the air temperature decreases by 20°C.
The thermostat must be absolutely included in the controlling system of the heater.
5.11. The motor of the fan
Compact units CV-P1 230V
Centrifugal one-sided sucking fan with the impeller placed directly on the shaft of the motor, which rotations can be changed smoothly by means of transformer or thyristor
regulators, are installed in units (fot. 15).
Power supplying with the voltage of 230V/50Hz should be done in accordance with obligatory building regulations and standards. The motor has an internal thermal
protection in the form of thermo-bimetallic contact. The motor should be connected according to diagrams and data included in the connection box and on the data plate of
the motor (fot. 16).
Sectional units CV-P1 and CV-P2 3x400V
The motor of the fan is supplied with the current of voltage 3x400V/50Hz. The connection should be performed by protection from overloading and short-circuit, which is
proper for the nominal current of applied motor. The motor has protection from overheating in the form of three, connected in series thermistor PTC protections, which are
installed inside windings (fot. 17, 18). Thermistors should be connected to electronic measuring relay, which controls the temperature of windings.
Before connection of power supply one should check if diagrams placed below are in conformity with data present on the data plate of the motor and in OMM (Operation
and Maintenance Manual) of the motor.
In order to provide safe maintenance of the device service switch, which cuts off the power for the fan motor during servicing, should be installed outside the fan-section.
Disconnection of power circuit should be done in the powerless state.
Before the doors or the inspection panel of the fan-section are being opened (failure, conservation, servicing) all electric power circuits should be cut off.

Remark!
Motors of power up to 4kW inclusive can be turned on directly.
Wiring diagrams of two-speed motors switched in the relation 1:2 (1500/3000 RPM, 750/1500 RPM)
5.12. Control devices
Complete control devices, which should be an integral part of every air-conditioning system, enable smooth work of the device, and in many cases are essential
components, the lack of which may cause operation problems and serious failures of the device.
As tasks with the use of automatic regulation of controlling and protection in the field of air treatment, which are performed by functional sets of units, are realized by
wide range of control devices systems, these documentation does not cover the information concerning the installation of elements of control devices, connection, start-up
and operation of the system.
Information about this matter can be found in separate documents delivered by VTS Clima together with the set of control devices. In any other cases the supplier of the
system of control devices is obliged to deliver related information and documents.
Only anti-freeze thermostats of water heaters in CV-P1 HW/230V and thermostats protecting from overheating in CV-P1 HE/230V and in sections of electric heaters in the
rest of devices are always installed originally inside the unit. These protections will work properly performing the protecting function only together with the complete set of
control devices.
