The machine enables you to sew four different types of buttonholes in all the
usual sizes:
•
Square buttonhole: programs 007 and 008
•
Eyelet buttonhole: programs 009 and 010
•
Round buttonhole: programs 011, 012, 013 and 014
The process of sewing all four types of buttonholes is identical and is described
under “Sewing buttonholes with buttonhole foot I Automatic detection of
buttonhole size”.
Similarly, the process of cutting out all four types of buttonholes is identical and is
described under “Cutting out buttonholes” (Page 154).
W6 tip
In order to achieve good results when sewing all fabrics, it is necessary to
reinforce the fabrics with a lining or stabiliser on the wrong side.
W6 tip
We recommend you try sewing the buttonhole on separate piece of fabric so you
can make changes if necessary.

Square buttonhole: programs 007 and 008
Select the following settings (for example, program 007):

Programs 007 and 008:
The stitch length can be changed manually in the specified ranges.
The stitch width cannot be changed.
Always place either tear-away or self-adhesive W6 stabiliser on the wrong side of
the fabric for the purposes of stabilisation.
