Gearcase
Removal:
1.
Remove engine as described in
Section 5.2 Engine -
Removal.
2.
Remove pulley
(c)
from gearcase input shaft with
three jaw puller.
3.
Remove key
(a)
. Inspect key and keyways for
signs of shearing. Replace key if deformed or edges
are rounded.
4.
Remove two M8 screws

, two B8 washers
(e)
and belt guard mount

5.
Remove M8 screw
(f)
, 5/16” washer
(g)
, and belt
guard plate
(h)
.
6.
Remove retaining ring from fork ring shaft. Slide
shaft out from lifting fork and gearcase. Refer to
Section 4.1 Trowel Assembly - Exploded View.
7.
Slide fork free of lifting ring. Disconnect pitch
control cable.
8.
Remove two M8 screws holding handle to handle
base. Carefully pull handle and control cable away
from handle base.
9.
Remove two M8 screws

from front of gearcase.
10. Remove two M8 screws

, two B8 washers
(k)
and
wire assembly
(m)
from rear part of gearcase.
11. Lift trowel guard ring

off of gearcase.
