Keep the power cable clean and avoid the effects of heat, oil, sharp edges or moving machine parts
on the cable. The power cable may not be used for carrying or suspending the machine. Do not pull
the cable to pull the plug out of the outlet.
Dispose of properly.
4.13.1
Electrical safety
The connector plug of the battery charger must fit in the outlet. The connector plug may not be
modified in any way. Do not use the adapter plug together with grounded machines. Unmodified
plugs and outlets reduce the risk of an electric shock.
Avoid physical contact with grounded surfaces. There is a higher risk of electric shock if your body is
grounded.
Keep battery charger away from moisture. Penetrating moisture increases the danger of an electric
shock.
Do not divert the cable from its intended use. Protect cable from heat, oil and sharp objects. Damaged
or entangled cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
When working outdoors, only use cables that are suitable for outdoor use. The use of a cable that is
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of an electric shock.
If work in a moist environment cannot be avoided, a fault current protective switch must be used. Fault
current protective switches reduce the risk of an electric shock.
4.13.2
Extension cable and cable drum
The following points must be observed in order to minimize the danger of injuries, fire, electric
shock and material damage:
The extension cable and cable drum must be inspected and undamaged.
Only use extension cables with grounded conductors and a grounded conductor terminal to the plug
and coupling.
Only use inspected extension cables and cable drums that are suitable for construction site use.
Damaged extension cables and cable drums may not be used and must be replaced immediately.
Cable drums and multi-pole outlets must have the same requirements as extension cables.
Protect extension cables, cable drums, multi-pole outlets and connection couplings from moisture.
The extension cables and cable drums must be completely unrolled before operation.
