This section describes the components you need to con
fi
gure 802.1x authentication, and the
detailed steps you need to follow to con
fi
gure the authentication.
Preparing for 802.1x Con
fi
guration
The supported 802.1x con
fi
guration has the zero client pre-populated with a proper certi
fi
cate. It
then connects and presents the certi
fi
cate to the 802.1x switch and is authenticated. PCoIP Zero
Clients will also connect under a different con
fi
guration of the switch which has the MAC address
of authorized endpoints stored in it's con
fi
guration.
Before you begin the con
fi
guration process, make sure you have these components:
• Tera2 PCoIP Zero Client with
fi
rmware 4.0.3 or later
• PCoIP Management Console 1.8.1 or later
• Windows Server 2008 R2 with AD DS (Active Directory Domain Services)
• Windows Server 2008 R2 with AD CS (Active Directory Certi
fi
cate Services)
• Windows Server 2008 R2 with NPS (Network Policy and Access Services)
