Pairing
A method of creating a virtual cable (Bluetooth) link between two devices.
Pan
A motion used when navigating with touch. Touch the device surface with your fingers and
move them in the same direction.
Parallax
The offset between the tip of the pen and the cursor that might display when you are drawing on
a Wacom pen display.
Pen display
A Wacom device with a screen. When you draw on a Pen display, you can see what you are
drawing on the Pen display's screen.
Pen gestures
Allow you to customize left, right, up, or down pen movements to perform particular actions
(undo, redo, scroll, zoom, etc.) while moving your pen tip and pressing a pen button or
ExpressKey. Only available on select devices.
Pen holder
A pen storage tool typically attached to your device. Often includes a loop in which you can
insert your pen. Is sometimes removable and may contain a nib removal tool and/or extra nibs
Pen input
A method of controlling a computer using the pen.
Pen stand
A stand-alone pen storage tool in which you can place the pen tip-down.
Pen tablet
A Wacom device with an opaque surface. When you draw on your device, you see what you
are drawing on your computer's display screen.
Pinch
A motion used when navigating with touch. Touch the display with two fingers spaced slightly
apart, then move or 'pinch' your fingers together on the device surface.
Pixel
The smallest unit of measure on your display screen.
Pressure
sensitive
A quality of the Wacom pen tip and eraser that senses the amount of pressure being applied.
This is used to create natural-looking pen, brush, and eraser strokes in applications that are
pressure-sensitive.

application
Any application that supports pressure-sensitive input.
Proximity
The height above the device's active area where pen detection occurs.
Radial menu
A circular On-screen shortcut.
Rotate
A motion used when navigating with touch. Touch the device with two fingers spaced slightly
apart and rotate them in a circular fashion, move them in opposing directions, or hold one
finger stationary and track your other finger around the stationary finger.
Swipe
A motion used when navigating with touch. Touch the device surface with three, four, or five
fingers and sweep them quickly across the device in the same direction.
Tap
A motion used when navigating with touch. Touch and lift a single finger (or multiple fingers,
depending on the gesture) from the device.
