Using the refrigerator

NOTICE!

Make sure food and liquids in glass bottles and jars are not
cooled excessively.
Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy the
glass containers.
z
Make sure that you only put items in the cooler which may be
kept at the selected temperature.

NOTE
Before starting your new refrigerator for the first time, you should
clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons
(please also refer to the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on
page 42).
The fridge conserves fresh foodstuffs. You can also conserve frozen food-
stuffs in the freezer compartment and freeze fresh foodstuffs.

Energy saving tips
z
Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against
direct sunlight.
z
Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep
cool.
z
Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
z
Do not leave the cooler unit open for longer than necessary.
z
Defrost your refrigerator as soon as a layer of ice forms.
z
Avoid unnecessarily low temperature settings.
z
Clean dust and dirt from the condenser at regular intervals.

Switch the refrigerator on by turning the rotary control (fig.

7, page 4)
to level “1”.

NOTE
After switching on, the refrigerator requires approx. 180 sec. until
the compressor starts up.
