INSPECTIONS

9.1
PERIODICAL INSPECTIONS
For the safe operation of electrostatic manual coating systems for fl ammable liquid coating products, intervals
for periodical inspections are defi ned as follows:

The above recommended intervals are maximum values and may be modifi ed by the operator depending on
the local and operational conditions and the contamination.
Damaged devices must be decommissioned and repaired immediately.
8.7
HIGH PRESSURE HOSES
The service life of the fl uid hoses is reduced due to environmental infl uences even when handled correctly.
Check hoses, pipes, and couplings every day and replace if necessary.
As a precaution, fl uid hoses should be replaced after a period specifi ed by the operator.
Bursting hose, bursting threaded joints!
Danger to life from injection of product.
Ensure that the hose material is chemically resistant to the
sprayed products.
Ensure that the spray gun, threaded joints, and product hose
between the device and the spray gun are suitable for the
pressure generated in the device.
Ensure that the following information can be seen on the high-
pressure hose:

Manufacturer
- Permissible operating pressure
- Date of manufacture
