USING THE HEAT TOOL
Always read the safety information included in this manual before using the heat
tool.
Tools and paint scrapings become very hot. To avoid burns, use work gloves and eye
protection when scraping.
HAND POSITIONS
The Heat Tool can be gripped/used in a variety of ways based on the type of job you are doing.
DO NOT BLOCK
INTAKE OPENINGS
Pistol grip for larger jobs
Pencil grip for smaller jobs that
require precision
Hands-free operation.
When gripping the heat tool, ensure that your hands are not obstructing the intake
openings in the housing (on the rear of the housing, just above the power cord).
Keep fingers away from the metal nozzle.
SWITCH SETTINGS
The Heat Tool power switch has three settings:
Low (I), OFF (0) and High (II).
Refer to the Heating Guidelines (page 9) to determine
the appropriate heat setting for the task you are doing.

HANDS FREE OPERATION / COOL DOWN
The Heat Tool has an built-in stand for bench top
applications and cool down.
Turn the Heat Tool OFF (0), gently pull the prongs
and rotate the stand backwards (A). Set on flat
surface as shown (B).
