Installation instructions
The pipe system must be designed according to the requirements of the
project and the pipe design guidelines (see chapter 4 "Pipe Design").
1. Cut the pipes with a pipe cutter or a metal saw. Chips must be re-
moved and rough edges trimmed.
2.
Before
gluing, remove any dirt and grease from the joints with the rec-
ommended cleaning agent. Glue the pipe ends to the corresponding
fittings so that they are airtight

Adhesives and cleaning products contain solvents and are flammable. It
is essential to observe the supplier’s safety information before process-
ing.
3. Keep the pipe lengths and direction changes to a minimum. Elbows
and bends have an extremely high flow resistance. Use them only
where this is unavoidable. Should this be necessary, the pipe length
must then be reduced in relation to the fitted bends

.
Arcs should be used instead of elbows. If there are too many direction
changes, an air flow fault can occur in TITANUS
®
and detection time can
be affected.
4. The pipes must be installed in such a way that they do not sag or
move. They are fixed with pipe clips
without
rubber core. The space
between the pipes clips should be no more than 80cm. Reduce the
space between clips to no more than 30cm if there are high tempera-
ture variations.
1 An arc equals a straight piece of pipe of 0.3m
an elbow equals a straight piece of pipe of 1.5m
