PDO protocol, SDO protocol
6.1
PDO (Process Data Object) protocol
The PDO protocol is used for communicating data such as digital inputs and outputs continuously.
6.2
SDO (Service Data Object) protocol
The SDO protocol is used for communicating data not necessary to be sent continuously, such as
infrequent changes of setting values.
Data assigned to SDOs are communicated by the SDO instructions (SDOR, SDOW) of the logic program.
