Operating Modes
The WSA has several operating modes that can be employed using suitable AT
commands, as well as by targeted disruption of the device's power supply. The
latter is then required if no WAGO PLC is available, or the AT command
interface is no longer accessible. That is the case when the settings of the wired
serial interface and/or the authentication settings for the SPP service “CONFIG”
have been changed and no longer available.
Mode switching by disrupting the power supply
Mode switching is initiated by disconnecting the device approximately five
seconds after applying the power supply by unplugging the WSA and then
plugging it in again (see also Section “Connect Devices”> … >“Plug in WSA”
and “Unplug WSA”). When starting up again, the device then uses the next
operating mode.
If the process is repeated several times in a row, the user can switch through the
various operating modes sequentially (after reaching the last mode, the selection
starts again from the beginning).
If the mode is not switched within approximately 10 seconds after applying the
power supply, the operating mode currently selected is enabled. The device will
then start in normal mode after the next restart or after an interruption of the
power supply.
The operating modes are switched through in the following order and indicated by
specific flashing pattern on the LED:
