Process data width of the internal bus affects the size of the cyclic data!
If the internal bus process data width is set to 12 or 8 bytes and the Mailbox size
is 2 bytes, for example, the data storage area available is reduced for the cyclical
data accordingly. With a setting of 4 bytes, only the SIO byte is available for
cyclic data.
Segment size

process data width of the IO-Link device!
The segment size of a port segment does not have to match the process data width
of the attached IO-Link device.
Asymmetric segment positions possible!
Port segments do not have to be arranged symmetrically in terms of the positions
on the internal bus process input and internal bus process output image.
Whether the process data is transferred fragmented or unfragmented is
insignificant (see the following segment).
