SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not place any heavy objects on this device.
•
Do not place sources of naked flames, e.g. burning candles, on the device.
• Do not drink from the hose! It is a tool for the garden and is therefore
exposed to substances that are unhealthy or dangerous for humans. The
hose could have come into contact with bacteria, mould, garden chemicals
such as fertilisers, pesticides or insecticides, stagnant water or animal
excrement.
• The hose is not a toy! Do not allow children to play with the device and pay
particular attention to the risk of injury from choking and the possibility of
parts being swallowed.
• Do not pull the hose apart if no water is running through it. The device
is not suitable for this. If the hose is stretched when there is no water
running through it, it can cause injuries when it recoils. Caution.
• Let the water run out when you are not using the device.
• Store the device in a dry and shady place in summer and indoors in winter
so that the garden hose is not exposed to frost.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Before using the hose, make sure that the sealing ring in the socket at the end of
the hose is tight and securely in place.
•
Handle the device with particular care when using it for the first time.
Stretch and loosen the garden hose slowly at first using low water
pressure to familiarise yourself with the tensile forces.
• Screw the 'female' end of the hose onto your outside tap.
• Attach the spray attachment to the other end.
• Make sure the valve is set to "OFF", i.e. closed, while you turn on the tap
and slowly increase the pressure. The garden hose will automatically
expand until it reaches (at most) three times its length.
• Now use the device like any conventional hose.
• When you turn off the water supply, the hose retracts to its original length
• . When you do this, leave the valve open ("ON")
• You can also use this garden hose in combination with a sprinkler system.
Please note, however, that the hose could extend and retract again when
used for this purpose. This does not damage the hose, but can increase the
risk of accidents.
