OPERATOR’S MANUAL
5. If there are excessive levels of dirt, dust or debris in the cavity, the seal(s) must be
replaced. To replace the inner seal(s), proceed as follows:
a. Loosen and remove the lock nut and set screw from the rotor shaft. Reference
Figure 7-6
.
b. Loosen and remove the fasteners securing the end plate to the casing.

c. Carefully remove the end plate from the airlock and support the rotor shaft.

d. Remove the bearing cone assembly. If necessary, remove the bearing cup.

e. Remove the old seal(s) from the end plate.
