Assembly on the car
In some cases, the spring must be
compressed so that the spring strut
can be mounted in the axle shaft. It
may then be necessary to adjust the
angle of the stand to the floor so that
spring strut can be aligned. Angle is
set with the stand's adjustable foot
(1).
Hydraulic support
Remove both arm units, turn the
counterhold unit upside down and fit it
on the top section of the piston. Fit the
aluminium top and lock it using the dead
bolt.
The support should not be used as a lift,
but should be seen as a helping hand.
When pressing in this way, the spring compressor presses with a
slightly uneven load against the surface. If the surface is slippery
e.g. due to oil, it can slide to one side. Make sure the stand cannot
slide.
Pay attention to the force! The
tool has a maximum compressive
force of 2,1 tonnes. Never press
so hard that the vehicle starts to
move on the lift.
