5.c.4. Chimney and exhaust pipe:
Please obey the laws and norms valid in the installation country.
After having found an appropriate place for installing the stove, please try to install the
exhaust pipe, while taking into consideration paragraph 5.c.1. For the smoke outlet use
rigid, varnished steel pipes (min. 1,5 mm) or high-grade steel pipes (min. 0,5 mm) with
15 cm diameter including sealing (to cover distances until 12 m) or 18 cm diameter
including sealing (to cover distances over 12 m).
Attention: For a correctly working drought, the pipe has
to exit the stove vertically for at least 0,5 m before
having the first angle. If possible, the pipe then should
enter the chimney by using a 45° pipe (better drought
than with 90°).
The stove must only be connected to a chimney which is
intended for such a fireplace. Several-time connecting
usually causes problems and malfunctions. The pipes
have to be connected further down together with the
sleeve, so that the smoke and condensation cannot
escape.
It is very important to insulate the chimney pipe with
suitable materials (rock wool) or to use double
insulated steel pipes. If the chimney is not isolated,
the Walltherm will most probably not work!
There should be no horizontal parts in the exhaust
pipe, because it corrupts the drought a lot!
The chimney tube gets inserted into the muff of the
Walltherm stove (see picture).
