• Never operate the drive unit without engine oil.
• Fill the power generator with engine oil before starting it.
• Be careful when filling the engine oil and petrol.
• Use a tool for filling, e. g. a funnel suitable for engine oil or petrol
• .
• Have a cleaning cloth ready to wipe parts that have been soaked with engine
oil or petrol.
• Dispose the cleaning cloths soaked in engine oil or petrol, waste oil and
remaining quantities properly (see chapter on "Disposal").
• Never fill too much engine oil and petrol. If too much engine oil or petrol has
been filled by mistake, remove it, for e.g., using a syringe.
• Remove the dipstick

• Wipe the dipstick dry using a clean
cloth.
• Insert the dipstick into the oil filler
neck

till it rests on the thread.
• Pull the dipstick out again.
Checking the engine oil level

• Check whether the dipstick is wetted with engine oil till at least half of the
hatched surface.

If the dipstick is not wetted with engine oil up to or more than half of the
hatched surface, fill the engine oil (see chapter "Filling the engine oil").

If the dipstick is sufficiently wetted with engine oil, screw the dipstick
clockwise into the oil filler neck and tighten it slightly. While tightening,
ensure that you do not damage the thread. If necessary, turn the dipstick
counter-clockwise until it lies correctly on the thread.
