Before fitting the panel, ensure the values on the plate match the envisaged operating conditions.

Then centre the panel between the flanges/frames. To improve the hold between the disc and flanges/
frames, insert a soft gasket (KlingerSil C4400, EPDM or similar) on the process side, or turn the surfaces of
the flange. In the former case make sure the diameters of the gasket are equal to those of the panel.

After having positioned properly the panel, tighten all screws cross-wise using a spanner with predefined
tightening torque. In normal operating conditions, the explosion vent panels have particularly long life. How-
ever, to avoid undesirable opening due to damages or wear, carry out a detailed visual inspection on yearly
basis.
Danger - Warning
During storage and transport up to the installation point, do not take the panels out of their original
packing, to avoid damage which could affect the correct working.
5.5 Safety prescriptions for installation
Danger - Warning
The filter must be positioned so as that:
- the explosion vent membrane vents the explosion and resulting flame in a safe place according to
the standard ATEX Directive:
- the clean air outlet area (pos. A in fig.1) is rendered safe in accordance with standard ATEX Directive.
A safe place represents an outdoor area where the access of the staff during the operation of the filter is to be
forbidden, and where there should not be installation parts prone to damage or storages of flammable materi

als.

If the filter is placed indoor, it is necessary to fit it with a duct connecting the membrane of the anti-
explosion panel to the outside.
